Nice video and well explained. Could not be in the solar install biz without the pathfinder. Just hoping power conversion technology improves for pv panels. But again well done video…

Tennesee? The angle of the panels looked much sharper like Alaska. I’m in Az and allthough I don’t have any trees blocking the path, I think we are at similar lattitudes. Mine are only about 20 degrees or so. But I see you’re scientific so I guess I need one of those solar pathfinders.

Anyway, go solar power! I love it. Keep up the good work.

Good informative video, thanks.

Good video. I’m getting NABCEP certified in PV installations and today we worked with the Solar Pathfinder for the first time. Very neat device!

u can putt on the roof los of aluninum paper and it will bee like a huge reflactor.

u will have more power per hour and more houres per day.

Great information thanks

Hey there!

I work for Solar Pathfinder and just noticed your question. When you take the photo, you’ll want to stand at magnetic south. This will give you the most accurate reading b/c you’ll most likely want to position the panels in the direction of magnetic south for wherever you are in the northern hemisphere. You’d do negative north if you’re in the southern hemisphere.
I hope this helps!

When you move your head, doesn’t the reflection move relative to the marks? Do the instructions tell you where to put your head?
