Advanced Photovoltaic Solar Power Films, The Next Generation

www.homemadepowerplant.com A remarkable, new company, Konarka, a solar energy company based in Lowell, Massachusetts, is developing and producing organic thin-film solar photovoltaic films. These photovoltaic films are being printed on an adapted label maker machine. The process is much more cost effect than the traditional method of manufacturing crystalline photovoltaics. Start looking for the cost of solar electric power systems to come down. These new solar energy films could easily become the next-generation solar panels of the future.

Put it in wal-mart and people will snap it up. ’solar distributers’ are glorified ‘used car salesmen’ who will jack the price up to the same $5 per watt they are overcharging for all the older technologies. Everything we have is thinfilm because we could by it in a big box store. This after buying ONE polycrystaline and getting taken for a ride and paying more than it was worth. NEVER AGAIN! Put it in a big box store and bypass the flim flam artist and it will sell.

Ah…..that’s right, stupid me.

Massachusetts has MIT.

Funny PV power still 4 times higher

Okay great, nothing against Massachusetts, a nice place with nice folks. Here’s my question. Why does Massachusetts have such a large number os energy related companies? What about the state of Massachusetts brings this about? I’d like to know. Because I feel all states should be equally involved so why Massachusetts and why not your state too????

Your hanging around the wrond type of black people dude.

300 patents? When new meterials become available a number of companies can make new applications but its a race to who gets patents to prevent everyone else from doing the same thing (sometimes hoarding the tech like chevron is doing with NiMH batteries) instead of a race to manufacture the product. Often many are developping the same technology simoultaneously but the patent/litigation queen wins. The patent system should be abolished or cut down to 2 years max (a head start, not a sit on it).

great stuff. get crackin

I really hate blacks, but Obama is OK.
